Your Mobi Passport SIM uses callback to provide cheap international calls to and from over 200 countries.  To make calls:

1. Dial the number you want to call using full international number +(Country Code)(Number without the leading '0'). Below are some examples:

    • Australian Mobile No: 0412 345 6789 you would dial +614123456789
    • USA number: 123 456 7890 you would dial +11234567890
    • UK number 020 1234 5678 you would dial +442012345678

    2. The call will hang up and depending on your handset you may receive a message saying "call not allowed" or "please wait".

    3. After a couple of seconds you will receive a call.  Answer the call and you call will be connected to the person you dialed.

Answer calls as you normally would.

If you are having trouble making calls using callback please try the following:

    1. Check your account balance

Dial *113# to check you have sufficient credit to make the call.

    2. Try dialling using USSD Codes

Some handset models do not support callback and so calls will have to be made using dialing codes.  This is the same as making calls normally, expect you replace the '+' with '*111*' and add a '#' to the end of the number.

If you are having trouble making a call using callback (for example the call just hangs up) you can make calls using USSD Code (no additional charge)
To make calls by USSD code dial *111*(country code)(number)#.  E.g. to call:
    .
    • Australian Mobile No: 0412 345 6789 you would dial *111*614123456789#
    • USA number: 123 456 7890 you would dial *111*11234567890#
    • UK number 020 1234 5678 you would dial *111*442012345678#

The following handsets are known to have problems with callback.

    3. Check your call trigger mode.

Your call trigger mode should be set to USSD2.

For iPhone go to Settings->Phone->Mobile Services->Call Settings->Trigger and make sure it is set to "direct dial" or "USSD2"

For Android go to your Apps and search for SIM Toolkit and then go to Mobile Services->Call Settings->Trigger and make sure it is set to "direct dial" or "USSD2"
