Important Things You Should Know
  1. Before you depart you will need to activate your your SIM. Information on this process is available below.
  2. Credit loaded onto the SIM does not expire.
  3. All plans automatically renew every 30 days if there is sufficient credit in your account. To suspend the Data500 plan SMS HALTDATA500 to 84343. To suspend the Flat500 plan SMS HALTFLAT500 to 84343.
  4. International roaming rates apply when used outside of Germany.
  5. You can get unlimited calls to China, Hungary, Hong Kong, India, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia or Thailand on the Flatrate plans.
  6. Before you depart make sure your phone is unlocked and you have familiarized yourself with the SIM and user guides.

SIM Activation and Registration

Activating Your SIM Card

You can activate this SIM card online via the Lebara website. As part of the activation process you will need to provide an address in Germany. We recommend you use the address of a hotel or house you are staying in. If you do not know, then search for a hotel address within the cities you will be visiting. Activation is the only registration requirement for this SIM. Click here to go to the Lebara website and activate your SIM. If you are having trouble activating the SIM, click her to submit your activation details to us and we will attempt to activate the SIM for you.

Adding Credit and Packages
The SIM comes pre-loaded with EUR7 of credit which is available after activation. To add additional credit you will need to go to a retail outlet in Germany. Credit Expiry Credit does not expire, however the SIM will be cancelled after 90 days of inactivity. Check Available Credit To check the balance of your Lebara SIM card simply dial *141#, then press the call button and your balance will be displayed on your handset screen. Alternatively, you can call 5588 to listen to your balance. You can also check your balance online by logging into the Lebara online portal.

Lebara Mobile Germany have a portal where you can login and view your account balance, call history, plan type, etc. You can sign up and access the online portal on the following page (chage to English from the option menu on the top-right hand corner of the page): http://www.lebara.de/dashboard

Internet Setup and Settings

If you plan to use data, you should make sure you are on a plan that includes sufficient data for your needs (refer below for available plans). See below for a list of plans.

If your phone automatically detects the settings you should leave these as they are. If you need to enter settings change your APN to:

APN: internet.t-d1.de

Username: T-mobile internet

Password: leave blank

Below are the available Data Plans.  To start the data plan SMS the Start Plan Code to 55255.  You will get a response back asking you to confirm you want to activate the plan, just reply "JA".  To stop the plan SMS to Stop Plan Code to 55255 24 hours before your plan is set to renew.


Tethering is not supported on these plans.

International Calls to Australia
